The challenge to the Dotfusion team was intense. Create a multi-dimensional website worthy of this industry-leading game card producer, one that would smoothly translate the demands of a reality TV-like online community through a uniquely integrated social portal, voting platform and viral campaign package. |
The Approach
Ready -- Dotfusion knew we had to take the gamer generation by storm to score valuable marketing points for our client. So we built a highly sophisticated interactive platform that would allow gamers to create their own online profiles and blog spaces, include sponsor links, and fully integrate their chosen media into one action-packed gaming atmosphere.
Set -- Once the site was launched, Nvidia XFX challenged the online community to compete for points, as well as vote for their favorite gamer.
Game on! The top five gamers selected by the public were then invited onto the XFX team bus, which toured the country. At each stop along the way came face-offs and showdowns with public challengers who, if victorious, were offered the vanquished player’s place on the bus. The tour’s progress was charted through video highlights and daily blogs.
The Applause
Response to the online contest was overwhelming – over 500 profiles were created and a total of 10,000 votes recorded. The first gaming culture website to support a full-spectrum interactive media competition, Team Challenge confirmed Nvidia XFX’s top-ranked position in the industry, and allowed Dotfusion to showcase our innovations through lightning swift deployment of the demographic-specific site with complex media and profile management, superior functionality and incorporated analytics.
